Success
When you look around in today's society how many wealth and popular people do you know that are the epitome of success? Either they are happy, poised, and relaxed as the media portrays them to be or they are having nervous breakdowns and questioning what they are doing and at what cost is it actually worth it? I’d choose to question is it actually worth being wealthy and popular if it means having the media following me everywhere I go. Mainstream media has effectively propagandized success to society as a false definition. They want us to think that living in a mansion, having infinite amounts of money at your disposal, and having the latest collection of cars as Jay Leno, high quality of designer clothing and the latest tech gizmos are the fruits of success. When really its a fictitious advertisement by the media that you hardly see in real everyday life. My definition of success is having emotional, body, and moral intelligence-but being human these traits are hard to live by, but since it is the twenty first century modern media deviants behavior controls what we define as success. …show more content…
But we all know this isn’t true. Money is only convenient when buying conveniences and luxuries but we don't need to spend lavishly in order to be successful. Wealth makes everyday life easier and attainable but it doesn’t make life happier. If your goal in life is obtain as much wealth as possible and you consider that being successful than you should truly rethink your agenda. Wealth isn’t everything even Scrooge figured that out towards the end of his life. Furthermore wealth can’t help you get good grades its only attainable through studying and hard work.
