Honor Honor is a special type of word that can have numerous meanings because it is a word that relies on what you believe it means. Different people will have different meanings on this word because they have had different experiences. Honor is a complicated word because you can put a suffix of it and change the whole meaning. Some people believe that honor is something you were born with but others believe you have to earn it through trust and respect. People can do many honorable things but they might not be honorable themselves, that is why I believe this is such a complicated word. Honor can be in religion, in the work place, or even in everyday life and that is because honor is so complex. Honor in is in very religion, for example in Catholicism, disciples of that religion have to confess their sins so they can receive the Eucharist which is a sacred and honorable thing to receive. Other Christians believe that charity work is honorable. Or Jewish disciples have bar mitzvahs, these are there transformation to adulthood which are a very special moment that honor the young man. Our troops fight for our freedom, their family, and honor because that’s what they were trained to do and they respect that training. When a father goes to work every day he honors his family by working as hard as he can to provide the best he can and that can go for the mother as well. When the head of a business is paying people that work for commissions have to honor the time put into their business and have to respect them enough to pay them the correct amount. When children go to school they have to honor their teachers by giving them the respect they deserve and also honor their class mates by respecting them and their property.
