Definition Essay On Freedom

Imagine a world where one was free to just live a fulfilling life without the everyday hassles of this working society. Individuals look at freedom as something that they have based on the fact that one has choices. However, individuals make choices based on their surrounding. The argument for that statement would be to get out of that surrounding. The answer to that would not be so simple for the individual making those choices. The definition of freedom varies from person to person and to the different cultures. In sense, freedom could be defined as a natural human right and that one is born with it. Freedom in a sense could be physical and mental. Freedom is to do what one wants to do, eat, drink, learn and live in the harmony with others without crime and violence. The thought behind freedom is somewhat misunderstood by others especially the so called government. Since God gave us freedom for free, we must do our best to maintain and keep this right but members of society turns a blind eye to what is going on around them. In the society we live in there is not much a person could do without getting approval from the government. A person cannot build a house on a piece of land of that person choosing without paying for it or getting approval. A person is not even free to make improvement on a property without approval. I do not consider that freedom. The government controls us all whether we want to accept the reality or not. We all need permission to make our homes, obtain medical treatment and especially in educating our children.
