What is determination? The ability to soar for various things no matter how difficult it might be to achieve. Determination is among most important traits in order to live a healthy lifestyle. With determination comes strong will, optimism and good set of priorities. When people are determined, they have the drive to work through difficult, reaching for their goals and pushing themselves to do their very best. Determination is a very powerful characteristic, one that truly impacts your life. So what quality a person need to live a good life as a contributing member of society? Determination is the key component in order to live with good standards. Determination is like a second conscious, a power in your head that becomes clear that won’t take no for an answer. Prioritizing your decisions in life helps you maintain your goals in check and actually makes your aspirations easier to accomplish. For example, Michael Jordan was told by his high school coach that he wasn’t good enough and would never make the team. He didn’t take it to the heart and moan around, and let him down. He worked harder than he ever worked before. Every night when he got home from school he take shots on the net, not just a few, not just thirty, only after sinking a thousand successful shots would make Michael satisfied enough to be satisfied enough to back in the house. Michael did this every night and was committed to becoming the best he could possibly be, and he successfully did that. In 1981, Michael received a basketball scholarship, and in 1984, he entered the NBA draft where he eventually was drafted by the Chicago Bulls as their third pick. His determination drove him to achieve ultimate successes in life, with the help of a good set of priorities to overcome and conquer the rejection he faced, when his coach told him he wasn’t good enough, he Succeeded over
