Personality is something we are all born with. It is how we act and is something we can all detect by first impressions. Some people may be outgoing, shy, or energetic. A Character Based Assesment is a debate where each student is assigned a role as a character from a book. Each person debates from the viewpoint of his/her character, not what he/she thinks. The purpose of the CBA (Character Based Assesment) is so the student is able to get inside the head of their character and truly understand the circumstances of the events and how people had different views on the same events. From the CBA the students are also intended to learn why the characters from the books had different view and how that impacted the development of the plot, or historical events the book is based off of. In the CBA, the student is recommended to use Ethos, Logos and Pathos, or the three rhetorical devices used to convince the reader,…

With an encyclopedia of quotes from leaders, poets, and other people from history, they stir the heart toward becoming leaders who influence and serve for the sake of others and not themselves. The books stirs me toward a worthy legacy when it says “The only inheritance that a man will leave that has eternal value is his influence” (Maxwell, & Dornan, section “Introduction). Point #1: Character and integrity with people are the solid foundation of an influencer. Integrity and character are the fuel of trust.…
