Bullying is a serious problem in today’s society, it is not the victim’s fault it is the bullies so why do bullies bully? Can you imagine going to school every day and getting bullied for no reason? The definition of bullying is someone who is verbally, physically, socially and psychologically showing aggressive behaviour directed towards a less powerful person or group that is intended to cause harm, distress or fear.
The types of bullying are verbal or written abuse, violence, sexual harassment, homophobia, cyberbullying. There is a saying, sticks and stones may broke my bones but words will never hurt you, this is a lie. People will say mean words to us and we will feel hurt. I think that something must be done about bullying because statistics show that bullying is 3 times as prevalent as illegal discrimination and at least 1600 times as prevalent as workplace violence. I feel horrified that people bully to the verge of committing suicide. If bullying is not stopped it will cause long term emotional damage for example you will become a subject of depression. In schools where bullying occurs children tend to feel anxious and worried even those who have not been directly victimized . We can all help by sticking up for the target and tell the bully to stop.

Stop bullying on the spot therefore it can’t go anywhere or develop anymore. If a teacher sees the bullying or anyone really should stoop it to don’t be afraid! When stopping bullying on the spot we should intervene immediately, separate the kids involved and make sure everyone is safe.
