Essay #1: My Definition of Bravery
Bravery is the courage inside us all, which helps us overcome a majority of the daily life obstacles or even maybe just simply help us with the makings for new beginnings.Mahatma Gandhi had once said, “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” If one feels as if they don’t have the courage within them, they just need to take the step to uproot their inner fortitude. Courage is probably on the top of important traits to have as a person. Why? Well, sometimes bravery is the only way to go in bad situations. Being brave in these rough times is what will help you decide what sorts of decisions to make to move forward in life and continue living. Maybe these dreadful whereabouts are what will help bring out the fearlessness out of you. It may be onerous to have not as much fear, but there is no other route than taking risks and viewing the significant outcomes of your choices. At any moment, your bravery can be exposed most unexpectedly. For example, during the summer of 2016 my grandmother, Rosa, passed away from the sickness of leukemia. During those moments of time, it had brought out every bit of bravery I didn’t even know I had within me. It all just depends on what we feel the meaning is inside and how we show it on a day to day basis: whether it’s speaking at an assembly with stage fright to trying your hardest during a rough time at home. There is no definite form of bravery: we all feel and think of it in multiple ways. You can fight for what you believe in or keep hope with you in dark times and still be recognized for courage.
