This question has literally plagued the world since the beginning of time. With researchers, psychologists, scientists (and so many more professional-type people) all searching for the answer to what it means, the results can get a little blurred. I’m not here to tell you what it means to be beautiful, because in truth, beauty is subjective.
The definition of beauty, according to a Google search of “beauty definition”, is “a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight.” However, our society has begun a movement of some sorts, to change the definition of beauty from being physical to being solely internal.

Then in middle school, I believed beauty was “something inside”. As cheesy as it sounds, I went along with it. Then in high school, I started to really question everything I had known. With dove and Victoria’s secret campaigns battling for the right to call their models beautiful to prove a point and sell a product, I just stopped caring. It was so confusing seeing the trends come and go. I tried to keep up for a while, putting excessive amounts of makeup on my face everyday to the point where I felt naked without it (I’m still trying to get over this).
