Definition Essay: How Would You Define Beauty?

What is beauty? Beauty to me is being yourself. Not letting anyone define who you are. So many people out their shame others for how they look or how they dress. How you look does not define your beauty. I believe someone is truly beautiful when they are being 100% themselves. Beauty has been described by the way your pictures look but beauty is defined in so many ways. Society judges people so badly in today’s world and identifies “beauty” with someone who looks like Selena Gomez or Megan Fox. What I have discovered is that beauty is happiness. Society plays a significant role in my definition of beauty. People will post pictures on Instagram posing a certain way to get likes. Likes on a picture on social media does not define your beauty. A person with more likes than someone else does not make that person more beautiful. Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. Having confidence in how you see yourself is true beauty. People try and tear others done because they are different or not seen as beautiful in their eyes. The only person’s eyes that should see that you are beautiful are your own.
