The word home can have many different meanings depending on the person. To me, it used to mean the place where I was raised. It was where my parents brought me home from the hospital as a newborn and where I grew up, developed, and felt most like myself. But the word home lost this meaning for me, after my house went into foreclosure. Now the only meaning that home has is that it is just the place where I reside. There is no replacing my old home with any other; it was mine. After moving, my new home was strange and unfamiliar to me. There was no connection between my new home and my childhood or memories.
