The dictionary definition of family is any group of people closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins. This is not the definition that many choose to live by. Family is an identity and is one thing that describes who someone is. By saying that one belongs to a family means that they are loved and cared for by a group of people. This can be any group of people because a family does not consist only of blood relatives, but of any type of person. Even if someone is a different race or ethnicity, they can still be considered family. A family is a group of people who cherish one another and never bring each other down. So many people belong to some sort of family but not all of them understand what it means to be in that family. People who completely understand the significance of a family are usually the happiest and most satisfied people. Although many families strive to be this way, many do not succeed. Because not every family is the same, not all of them get along all of the time. There is usually some kind of argument going on between family members. But because families care so much about each other, they usually forgive one another for the mistake they have made. A family doesn’t have to consist only of blood relatives.
Anyone that love and care for each other can be considered a family. Race and ethnicity has nothing to do with a family. You don’t have to have a certain skin color to be loved by someone. If a family truly loves each other then it shouldn’t matter what the color of your skin is, or what religion you support. A family is the people in someone's life that they can truly depend on. They don’t have to worry about being criticized by their family. A family should only be there to support what ever decisions someone makes and completely understand when someone messes
