Now, I will consider whether or not I have accomplished all the goals I made for myself throughout the duration of my lifetime, and how the results of those goals ultimately helped others. At 70 years old, I can only hope that I still believe that a "successful" life is one that has continuously serviced others through compassion, care, and kindness. Although I will have many short-term, "minor" goals along the way, in the end, my long-term goal is to leave a positive impact on the lives of those I love.
In the end, I define "success" as accomplishing goals. Throughout my lifetime, I want to focus on my definition of a "successful" life, which is a life that's primary goal is to positively impact the lives of others. I will regularly measure the "success" of my minor goals - such as career path, family, and educational goals - but these minor goals can change with age, education, and life experiences. Therefore, in my opinion, a truly "successful life" is a life, in which the main goal is to positively impact the lives of others, and that actually does just that.
