Definition Essay “Charisma”
Different words have different meanings, each word is unique in its own right. Take the word charisma for example. The word charisma roughly means a certain charm that can put others at ease or tell people what to do. A good example of charisma would be Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt. As president of the United States of America he had the charisma to be able to tell other people what to do. Charisma itself is reminiscent of the warm shade beneath a tree in summer. This is said because the rays of light that pierce through the foliage is pleasant to the touch although the shade is cool and relaxing as well. Charisma sounds like the hearty laugh of two friends sharing in a joke. Charisma smells like bread freshly made

Another characteristic I demonstrate is leadership. One example of this is setting good examples such as not talking when the teacher is talking, participating in class activities, and doing my work. Whenever an argument is about to break out, I always try to stop it before it occurs. I’ve also done service before too (sort of). I collected all the…

Some people say the book of Mice and Men should be banned in public schools, although I think the book should not be banned because it contains allusions, Characterization and Dialect. It helps the students have a better undestandment of all the things above by showing them examples. The examples it contains of Allusion, from poems to the book, which says, “The best laid schemes go often astray.” Meaning the best dreams, that you plan often don’t become true.…

I thought the Survey of Character Strengths was an interesting survey to take. My first and second strengths were not particularly surprising to me, however my third was not what I necessarily expected it to be, but I am certainly not unhappy with it. All three strengths are values I have always admired because I have grown up watching my parents and older siblings showcase all three. I have consciously tried to emulate their example regarding these strengths and it was intriguing and encouraging to see all three show up in the survey. I was glad to see which strength showed up as my top, as kindness and generosity are especially important to me.…
