Improved Essays
Beauty is surrounded all around us and to fully grasp on to what is truly beautiful, we must know who God is. God is all things true, good and beautiful and our purpose on earth is to glorify Him all things we do. Every day we can easily point out the ugliness of the fallen world and separate it from what is beautiful. Today, so many people are distracted by things that they consider to be beautiful such as: the perfect body, the prettiest hair, the correct skin color, and the list goes on. Honestly, what is on the outside does not define what beauty really is, it is about what is located on the inside. Beauty is something that is ascetically pleasing to our senses, it is internal and comes natural. God created us in his own image, and his …show more content…
The culture may have power but it does not have the authority to determine who we are as people. When we can put our arms around one another, and express how much we love and care for each other, this is what God considers to be true, good and

I chose this picture because it demonstrates how the inner beauty is like a butterfly, it truly is enthralling. Butterflies are truly standout among the most lovely animals in this world. With its brilliant wings and lighthearted state of mind, butterflies enchant our feeling of sight and at some point or another, make us take a look at it more closer and see the beauty which is covered up inside. I used to think beauty came from art pieces like the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, Starry Night, The Scream, The Persistence of Memory, etc. However, what Lawndale taught me pertains to beauty being presented through the gentle, rough, quick, and slow brush stroke of the artist. Beauty comes from the many individuals, which live in the Lawndale community. I saw it in the old and young. I saw it in the enduring strength of a mother in a waiting room.…
