Happiness in life is a goal that many people have, but how does one achieve it? Some believe that everything can be bought including happiness. On the other hand, some think that it is impossible to buy happiness. The third position on this matter is that, although, money might make it easier to become happy, joy in life is brought on through positive experience and is not directly determined by how much or how little money people have. Experiences in life such as a enjoyable work profession are proven statistically to increase happiness in day to day life. Additionally, being with friends is equally beneficial in increasing happiness, as well as helping others. These three things are very important to living a happy life.

It has only been recently that modern science allows for this question to be answered through extensive research. According to many university studies, happiness is a result of three main causes including work, friends, and kindness. Having a long term goal in some form of work is one cause of happiness. Another cause of happiness is having friends or having people around you. Finally, doing service and giving to others is a proven cause of happiness as well as the other. It is believed by some that everything can be bought including happiness. On the other hand, some think that it is impossible to buy happiness. Both of these are not completely right or completely wrong. It is true that happiness is brought on through action, be it hard work, friends, and being kind to others, but is also partially true that money can indirectly buy happiness through experiences like vacations. Money is one possible way to achieve happiness but only temporarily. People with a lot of money can be happy and people with not a lot can be happy
