Students start out by saying “I pledge Allegiance to the flag…” Have you ever stopped and wondered about the meaning of freedom? What ideas did you come up with? Freedom means taking pride in being an American. Freedom to me means moving on in your life. Freedom is having choices. Freedom is very special to me. Just like Janis Joplin’s quote states “Freedoms just another word for nothing to lose” Freedom to me is having choice. You experience freedom when having the choice to use your voice. People can speak up and say what we want because of freedom. We can have the choice to praise God. In other countries, religion is discouraged or even forbidden, so there is no or little amount of freedom of religion. We can choose everyday what we want to wear. We get to choose what we want to do with our life. No one would like to be forced to do a job that they hate. When you choose what classes to take your experiencing freedom. Freedom is waking up every morning knowing that I can go and make my own decisions and live my own life. None of would like it if other people would make choices for us. If they did that wouldn’t give us freedom. Independence is part of freedom. This is part of freedom because you can do what you want as longs as it …show more content…
I think of moving on because when you go through your life you get more freedom. When you graduate from high school, you’re getting freedom because you’re now going to start college and you are more dependent on yourself. When you graduate college you are now in the real world trying to find and job and start a life. We can experience freedom, when deciding who we want to spend the rest of our lives with. When you get to a tough decision, you know you can’t get stuck. We know this because either way you chose you had freedom and none of it can be taken away unless, you made an immoral decision.
