The feeling of a great emotional connection to someone may be an indication of love. Love is felt in different levels; it may consume your every thought and action, or may be fleeting and explosive. We spend our existence seeking this deep connection, making us susceptible to quick romances and one night stands. Love can be extended to things such as cars and jewelry, animals like pets, and to the opposite sex. We can love different things on varying levels, but the love between two people is most complex and unique. Love is difficult to define because everyone experiences it in different ways. What one person thinks is love, may only be friendship to another. How do you know you’re in love? How is it possible to quantify the level of love we feel for a person? To understand love, we need to understand the two main types of love, romantic love between couples and friendship love between groups or couples. Romantic love is often mistaken for a crush or simply infatuation because it is so overwhelming. Romantic lovers are usually constantly on each other’s minds. A person makes decisions based on his or her partner, such as whether or not to move to a different state for a job and building a home or simple decision’s like what clothes to wear.
