Definition Essay About Fighting

The word fight can be interpreted many different ways. The first and most obvious definition is a battle of some kind or an argument. Had this been the only definition, I would have written this paper on how wrong fighting is. I would have written about how “fighting” one of mankind’s many downfalls’ and most embarrassing habits is. But if you think of the word fight with an optimistic attitude or viewpoint, the ability to fight, can be one of God’s greatest gifts to mankind. I’m referring to fighting not in a physical sense, but fighting in a way that can do so much more. When you truly believe in something you have every right to fight for it. For example, slaves in America knew in their heart that god had not created them to be treated so poorly. They truly believed with all their hearts that there was more to life than waiting hand and foot on their masters. They also knew that in order to get out of those terrible conditions, they were going to have to fight for their freedom. Freedom was something that the slaves back then felt so passionately for.
