Many people hold a common misconception about bravery. They believe that bravery is the same as being without fear. But being brave and being fearless are two different things. Many people skydive, do public speaking, ask questions, or enter relationships not because they are unafraid but because they are willing to overcome this fear. Or perhaps they are willing to go ahead despite the butterflies in their stomachs. To some, this is a foreign concept that prevents them from trying new things. Also it is defined as the quality of mind or spirit enabling one to meet danger or opposition with fearlessness, calmness, and firmness. Bravery is also closely tied to selflessness and is when you put yourself in danger to help or protect another or even to protect yourself. Another characteristic of bravery is taking a risk of doing something in order to be able to change your life to a better one. This word reminds me of myself and what I had gone throughout my life and still going through school. I have always had to be brave to reach my goals when I used to live in Iraq. I can serve my story as an example of the superpower bravery because going to school without knowing either I might die in my way or stay alive for today is something not easy and dangerous to live with every single day. Also, being brave enough to leave your friends, family, house, and country is a huge step that not everyone can do. I find myself as an example of invulnerability in many different ways; therefore, I taught myself that in order to be successful in life I have to be always ready for a change in my life and not be afraid of it. For instance, I can put myself in danger to get to where I want to be or I can change my school, the place I live in, or even my people any day I want without thinking of anything other than my success in
