Defining Moments In Osama Bin Laden's Life

A defining moment in Osama bin Lauden's life was after his worst defeat in the Lion's Den. Bin Lauden gave command to Abu Ubaydah, his Egyptian military commander, and Abu Ubaydah ordered bin Lauden to guard the left side of the camp, there bin Lauden saw an approaching Russian force, he tried to warn his men by climbing a tree, but then a rocket grenade knocked him off the tree. Bin Lauden went into a “nap”, which could have been, because of his low blood sugar. The Arabs were able to win the battle which left bin Lauden the reputation for his courage. The new positive reputation allowed bin Lauden to be known throughout Saudi Arabia and started his connection to other Jihadist groups.
