Its Effects on Individuals and Society
McDonald's has become the essence of our laziness and childhood obesity. In our society, Wendy's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers has had to change their focus to giving the buyer a higher quality product in a fast amount of time. Wendy's still caters to a McDonaldized society in terms of giving them a meal as fast as possible but making quality their number one priority to give people a feasible option from McDonald's.

The modern society is an on-the-go, fast paced environment which values suitability. I am no exception to this phenomenon. When I go to the grocery store I just want to get my groceries, or whatever item I came for, and go. I am trying to not to create personal relationships with the individuals, who serve me my food or ring up my groceries. The ability to conveniently and rapidly complete everyday tasks gives me more time to do the things that I care about. Occasionally, I have time to take my dogs for a walk. Consumers, especially, have a choice with the way they handle McDonaldization. After all, the ultimate choice is theirs. If they have a prominent level of distain for McDonaldized organizations they can simply abstain from condescending them. In my opinion, the most significant step is to avoid the invasion of McDonaldization into one's own life. My family has done things such as avoiding fast-food meals and outings. I think this has helped my family develop a strong, healthy relationship in our personal lives.
Employees of McDonaldized systems, on the other hand, have a very inadequate amount of freedom when it comes to dealing with McDonaldization. Lower level employees only have one option for dealing with McDonaldization, which is going back to school. McDonaldized organizations, and their mind-numbing, ordinary jobs, are here to stay. For many the last line of security is education. I am going to school so it won’t be difficult to find a job. Those employed in McDonaldized jobs are equipped with their creativity and critical thinking skills, which will help them survive for the
