Defining Courage

Decent Essays
The dictionary defines courage as ‘the ability to do something that frightens one’. It is ones willingness to do the right thing or a desired thing, despite the end result. Courage can be broken down into six different understandings: physical, social, intellectual, moral, emotional, and spiritual. It is not something learned or taught. Just like brewing coffee in the morning or remembering how to ride a bike, courage is a habit. Courage is having what it takes to stand up and speak your mind but it is also having what it takes to sit down and question your own thinking.
