It is loyalty that above anything else is non negotiable to me, trust can be built and it can be broken and built again but trust can not be built without loyalty. There has to be loyalty first before a trusting relationship can be established or it will forever remain surface level communication. If the loyalty is broken in my relationship the trust is broken, which for me personally more often then not means the relationship has ended or at the very least ive become significantly less attached to the relationship. See, for me loyalty is when you make a conscious decision to show up for someone, you have made a choice to dedicate your time and hard work to a person or a cause. A action that needs to be considered and thought through before coming to a decision, where you acknowledge that no matter what you are going to work through the conflict, defend care and support this person. Once you make this choice its not something that can be broken easily, like the oath a soilder makes to his king you swear to devote a part of yourself to this person and the relationship beccause you deem them worthy of your lifelong service and whats more you want to be loyal to them. That is what i do when i become loyal to someone, because its such a significant gesture this value needs to be carried by both parties or risk detrimental consequences. Due to my high regard and attachment to my values system i have a hard time deciding which value is less important to me, which makes me think of what people have consistantly told me my entire life. That i am too serious, which i full heartedly agree as humour is not something i hold high in my value system. My life circumstances has lead to learn how to survive before i learned how to thrive, because of this i take life very
