Diversity is more than just culture and ethnics. It is the variation which makes people the same and different. It’s our values, our beliefs and our behaviors that makes us who we are as a person. Some of the most invisible forms of diversity is a person’s sexual orientation, their life experience, their political views to which without questioning them, you as a person may not know. “At its most basic and best, the term “diversity” refers to any and all differences between and among people” (Define Diversity).

Diversity such as life experiences is different for me than it was for you. We need to dig deeper to find diversity among people. We can’t always see diversity because some of it is invisible. By looking at the provided picture to compare differences between the picture and myself would I the person has short light brown hair, fair skin and blue eyes. This person also have a slim looking face. In contrast, I have long, black hair, brown eyes and tan skin color. As for visual similarity, I honestly can say that I don’t see a comparison between the person in the picture and myself. I consider myself as a female. Now, with the person in the picture, I feel like I can’t make an assumption about what sexual identity the person is. By looking at the picture itself, I can tell they are different than me. However, they could be similar in the way I think. The person in the second picture and I have a similarity. We both have black hair. The difference I can compare between the picture and myself is, the person pictured has a slimmer face, heavy jaw set and a darker skin color. Just from looking at the picture, I can’t tell if the person is of male or female gender. Lastly, with this picture I can see similarities with the idea and person.
