The dictionary defines the word courage as, “the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, etc., without fear; bravery”. Winston Churchill defines courage as being “what it takes to stand up and speak, and also what it takes to sit down and listen’. One could ask a million different people to define courage, and they would be given a million different answers. The argument could even be made that courage is basic human instinct. No matter one’s personal beliefs, there is one thing that can be known for certain.
