Deer Safety Essay

My essay is about creating a feature that will improve the overall safety of a vehicle and not cost too much so it’s affordable. My idea is to create a safety feature that could decrease the number of deer related car accidents, which in Iowa, deer crashes are a huge problem. Did you know that there are nearly 1.5 million deer related car accidents that results in over 10,000 injuries and 250+ fatalities each year? My improved safety feature could improve reaction time when a deer is spotted so reduce the number of deer or animal related crashes.

My safety feature is installing infrared sensors on the exterior of the car that would detect the heat of animal’s bodies. When a deer or animal was crossing the road or on the edge of the road

My First Deer One brisk 30 degree day in January, when I was nine years old, was a day for which I was extremely excited. My dad got me out of school earlier that day, so we could go deer hunting. I had already shot a turkey the year before, so guns were nothing new to me. We made a quick stop at my house so that we could pick up the .243 youth edition, a really short barreled .243, that my dad had bought just about a month before so that we could go hunting, and I would actually be able to handle the gun. At this point we did not have the hunting land that we do today, so we went to my grandpa’s house and hunted in the clearing of trees behind his house.…

Poaching is the murder or harvest of any endangered plant or animal, this harmful act on innocent animals needs to stop. The problem is that today’s society is driven by money and will do anything to get it no matter the consequences. When it is too late and we have hunted animals like tigers, lions, rhino, and elephants into extinction perhaps then we might try to do something like cloning. Poaching doesn't just affect the animals that are being killed, it causes other animals to die also because they are losing the resources the endangered animal created. For example if humans hunted hyenas to extinctions then lions would overrun the ecosystem and kill other animals causing them to be endangered because there is nothing to compete with the…
