The Hunt Continues After Deer Season For many hunters around the United States, after fall deer season there is a lull between hunting seasons. Many just wait around the house and get bored and there shooting skills start to dull. They just wait until spring when waterfowl and turkey season starts. Most states have small game open, yet it’s not the same as long distance, precision shooting for deer and other large game animals. There is one season that is open during this lull and combines the long range shooting and stalking that large game requires and still you have to be more patient that any other type of hunting. The coyote is one of the hardest animals to lure in and being able to take a shot on. They are the best hunters, and with their keen senses may make it impossible. With a great plan, selecting the right equipment, and finding the spost that could produce the dogs that you seek, could make the difference to a freezing day with no luck, to having the time of your life and becoming a part of the club to say that you have been able to take one of North America’s cautious predators. Having a plan when more than one hunter is going to be present should be discussed on the car ride over. Walking to the spot the hunters should follow as close as possible to have on scent not more than one. Hunting with more than 2 can decrease your odds of bagging a dog. The time comes when you become successful could be your first hunt or your fifth. If you plan on skinning the coyote than do it as soon as possible.
