Hunting is a hobby that has been in the United States for a long time. When people just moved here they hunted for food and furs. In modern time people hunt for food, sport, pest control, and bragging rights. There are many different animals to hunt for and they are all in different seasons. Deer are a big game for hunters. These animals can be seen almost anywhere. Most hunters will judge a deer by their antlers. The more points on the antlers the better. There are also many different guns you can use to hunt deer. You can hunt them with rifles, muzzleloaders, and bows. A lot of people will get a treestand so they can be invisible in the trees with a lot of camouflage. The moose is quite a bit bigger than the deer but they are similar. The moose also has antlers but these are very large and easily outsize a deer’s antlers. These animals are found mostly towards the north of the United States. These animals are usually found in the states bordering Canada or in Canada. These are bigger animals and take stronger guns to take them down.
It is also common in most areas that there will be a bird to hunt, such as turkeys, ducks, and pheasants. Turkeys are usually being hunted around Thanksgiving day. You can find them in many parts of the United States. You can hunt them with rifles and bows. These animals usually stay in groups and there can be a lot of them in one place.
Another bird to hunt are ducks. These animals will stay closer to ponds and you can use a boat to hunt them. You can make or buy one of these boats. It has a lot of camouflage so it blends into the surrounding grass. You can use a duck call and fake ducks to get the ducks to come towards you. You can only use a shotgun to hunt these animals because you are shooting up and shotguns will not have as much of a threat to building or people
