After analyzing the influence internal factors have on a company, we can look at the external factors and review how to make the company better. Deep Roots Distillery is located on Prince Edward Island, which is made up of mostly tourists. Numbers were recorded and 1.3 million tourists visit the island every year (Beamish, 2016). If the company can financially support a decision to expand throughout the rest of Canada, they should. This will increase popularity in the brand name and increase sales for the company. Once they have established their name and have developed enough revenue to be financially stable, the company could make the decision to expand internationally. With markets in other countries they may see more growth and continued interest in their brand. With that being said, the company could also increase the …show more content…
With only six products to choose from, the consumers are limited on what they can get. Expanding what they offer may increase the target market based on personal preference. Lastly, the company can do a better job marketing or promoting their products. Promoting, like we learned in Principles of Marketing, is when “…a company uses special offers to raise the customer’s interest” (Raes, 2016). Currently, like stated before, Deep Roots Distillery is present on Twitter and Facebook. They could take the opportunity and update the accounts on a more regular basis to keep the buyers up to date. Another strategy could be to offer complimentary mini bottle packages with the purchase of a tour. By offering something, the customer may have an increased interest in what exactly they are purchasing. Again, just like there are opportunities for the company to get better and grow; there are also threats or problems that could arise and cause issues for Deep
