The way I have always studied for a class has been to read all the material given by the professor, memorize the things that I believe to be most important and then write everything down from my memory while saying it out loud. When I get confused or I make a mistake I go back to that lecture or chapter and I review again, writing down things that I forgot as I go. After I have written down everything I need, I go back to the beginning of my notes and read them chunk by chunk. As I finish reading a chunk, I stand in front of a mirror and teach myself everything I have written down and try to make sure that I understand what I am teaching myself. This has helped me very much during the course of my previous semesters but sometimes I believe that I am just memorizing concepts and cheats instead of critically thinking and understanding the information. At moments I have to keep refreshing my memory because I feel like everything I have been learning is slipping away. This is why I am excited to be introduced to the concept of deep learning. I think this type of learning will be very helpful to me …show more content…
I just find it incredible how species evolve from time to time due to the circumstances they face and how we have managed to understand so much about the process. I believe that evolution is an important base to all the disciplines within biology because it really does give an insight to the present and past of everything biology-related we have knowledge of, as well as it can help predict, due to the previous patters seen in history, the future of a species for

Evolution is “the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth”. The theory of evolution has become one of the most controversial topics in science because of how the public reacts to the contents of the theory. The theory is controversial because it posses the debate of whether God or a supreme being played a role in the process of evolution or that humans have evolved naturally over time. The idea of evolution was once taboo for its new ideas at the time, it was seen as wrong because it challenged ideas already established about the world, especially how life came to be. Evolution is a relatively new idea discovered by Charles Darwin. This discovery came to be when Darwin was traveling along the Galapagos islands where he studied finches and discovered that these finches had all originated from one species of finch and eventually became differentiated leading the species to split, based on their environment. However evolution doesn’t just occur, it takes centuries or even millennia to take place and it isn’t the species that adapt to the environment, the environment selects those who survive. This means that only species with favored characteristics for that environment would be allowed to survive and produce offspring while those who do not have these favored characteristics would become extinct, dividing these species into more groups.…

But still, you have managed to develop a set of laws explaining the evolution of species, which later became the backbone of biology. Impressive. Before one we can discuss some misconceptions about Evolution; we have to define the term first. Evolution is a process that is observed over time to see which different kinds of organisms have shown signs of development and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth. A few misconceptions that I have heard about evolution is one that my grandfather is always telling me; that us as humans are not letting natural take its course on us as humans, because we are always using science, and medicine to help us adapt. Instead of us evolving and having our bodies coming up with the genes that will help us fight off diseases the way we did in the earlier parts of history.…
