Decyfer Down's Song

11) Alone In My Room - Crash by Decyfer Down A secret I have kept for a long time is that I love rock music and it is something so secretive that I have to listen to it in my room which is the only place I can get some privacy. I put this song on the fullest volume when I listen to it and sometimes my siblings shout at me to turn it off but I never listen. The reason why I don't tell people is because they are the ones who are quick to assume the type of music that I listen to and they don’t even bother to ask me. Just because I gravitate towards being the quiet girl who seems like she never steps out of her comfort zone does not mean that is who I am. However I do take advantage of this by not letting anyone in on my classified genre of music.Sometimes …show more content…
At first I found this song so annoying because it constantly kept coming up on the radio and the only one who would sing along was my older sister. I don’t usually like cumbia which is the genre of this song but this one would not go away. On a particular drive my sister was in charge of the music and she just put this song on repeat and there was nothing I could do about it. The song’s power was so strong that it captivated my brother who is very picky about music. Soon he was signing along right in my ear trying to get me to sing. Eventually I surrendered to the catchy song and I found myself easily signing to the lyrics. Now whenever it comes on the radio my family becomes the backup …show more content…
I am excited to see what the future hold for me and also the end of school means a fresh start for me. I enjoy being in a learning environment however there are times when I would just want to be home just being lazy. After all the essays, homework assignments, and presentations the last day of school is the only thing that drives me and keeps me going. Since it is my last year in high school I feel like I will be able to breath such a sigh of relief when I leave. Even though it will be difficult adjusting to a new life that does not involve attending high school everyday will be difficult but I’m sure I will manage. This song also jogs my memory of the last day of school of the previous year because I remember playing this song on my earbuds as I walked out of my 6th period class and into summer vacation. Before leaving my 6th period ends this year I plan to play this song just to keep the tradition

Many of us can look back on our adolescence and be mortified by some of the interests and choices we made. Our adult brains make us wonder what we were thinking when we chose to listen to same song on repeat from a band that we now can’t believe we liked. In my case, I can think back to a few musicians I had once loved and now listen in confusion at their appeal and ponder how it was that my mother did not go crazy. The quality of vehicle allows me to make trips and travel while only having the option of listening to the radio. Sometimes, I spend an entire trek searching for a song I like and occasionally come up short.…

The chorus is accompanied with a quite descriptive verse from rapper Ludacris and more sexually explicit lyrics that together make for a great fantasy. The lyrics promise this woman great pleasure and ends by confirming that she was satisfied and reached orgasm. Parts of the song like this can make parters feel pressured to deliver a mind-blowing orgasmic experience to women which just may not happen. According to page 106 of the Lehmiller text “…female orgasm does not happen consistently…” Some women simply will not orgasm at times and when orgasm does not occur their partners may feel at fault or not good enough.…
