Some say that the recorded music industry is dying, and it's because of digital downloadable music and streaming. This is because it is so easy for one person to buy and download a song and then give it to their friends for free. But what most people forget is that this was happening with cds also, you could save the music from one cd and then transfer it to a blank one fairly easy, and even when you bought a used cd it wouldn't be contributing to the artist. So the idea that the recording music industry is dying from music sharing just isn't realistic. Some might say that it's because music isn't as important anymore. But if this were true then why would so much time and effort be put into finding the perfect song to sell product or get information out. Ford actually had a 30 percent increase in sales of their ford edge when they used Rachel Platten fight song in there commercials. So what is the real reason behind these low number in sales. Well the truth is that the music industry isn't dying it is simply changing, and it is changing in several ways.
