I thought your analysis of this topic to be very compelling. I definitely agree with the points made about the decline in empathy. I too believe that it is highly unlikely that video games even violent ones would play a part into the disconnection with others. Social Media on the other hand does play a part in the disconnect of college aged individual. It causes these individuals to be disconnected from others I think because they are not interacting in person as much as they used too. I agree that the decline of empathy will continue, because of parents passing on the trait. It is a sad that the decline might continue, because this world would be so much better when people think of others instead of just themselves.
