Work that we take home, called homework that is most of the time due the next day can be very helpful, but sometimes more of a hassle than helping the students. I would agree on the part that some homework is helpful, but then there is homework that has no meaning and doesn’t help with better understanding the topic or unit. Having busy work can either make students just not want to do it or makes them frustrated or stressed out. I personally think that teachers should take a better look at what they are really passing out to the students and see if it will actual benefit them. There are some reasons for that, but the restraint on freedom of speech makes many people not share their opinion on a topic or situation. The Philosopher that could help declare independence with this situation could be Voltaire, he was about the principles of freedom of speech. The last area that I could declare independence is the food they serve at school, the school should be serving healthier options, but they don’t need to serve gross healthy options. The lunches are not very appetizing. Having good food options that students actually want to eat is going to bring kids to eat healthier food, but also be eating appetizing food.
