Declaration of Independence Document Analysis The Declaration of Independence is a very influential document that lead to the creation and implementation of several policies, in addition to being a cornerstone in the future success of America. The Declaration, written by several founding fathers was set for success since its inception and later became integral to establishing Sovereignty, Equality, and Democracy in American history from the 18th century to present day. For starters, the Declaration of Independence ushered words of freedom in the mind of those who spoke against it. The main target or focus was the oppression that was created by Britain when it first sent colonist over to start a colony in the New World. The following quote refers to the colonist disgust for the way the king is doing things, “The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States ”. This excerpt from the Declaration states that all of the King’s actions have overall lead to the oppression of the colonies and have forced them into a corner; therefore, leaving them no choice but to rebel if they cannot be taken seriously. “He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people ”. This quote is the 5th grievance taken from the document, declaring that the King has taken away all of the colonies…
