Together they change the words from "all men are to be created equal" to "all men and women are to be created equal." A photo from an activists blog showed a picture of an upside down American flag and on the white stripes it says, "right of the people to alter or abolish government, Declaration of Independence, 1776." In 2010, people formed what they called the "declaration of tea party independence". They believed in the words and intent of the declaration and the constitution. They also believed in smaller government, lower taxes, and reduction of national debt. (Doc.
