• The action that I am calling for regarding my controversy would be that doctors should be the only one who make decision regarding the patient’s wellbeing, and treatment.
• I believe the government would be the ones who would have to implement doctors being the ones treating patients. The government would have to do this because they are the ones who set up guidelines and make laws to enforce their decisions.
• This policy would apply to all groups, meaning anyone who goes to the doctor would be effected by this.
• The action should take place now. It should take place now because certain areas are already allowing non doctors to treat patients without supervision from a physician.

A person could argue that it is only ethical to allow a person who is fully licensed and has been through all the medical schooling to practice medicine , you could argue that it would save money if a physician was to treat you rather than have to visit the hospital because the nurse practitioner misdiagnosed you, and lastly you could argue you it would be more effective to see a physician because he would be able to diagnose and treat you rather than have a nurse practitioner look at you and send you to a specialist.
Reasons and evidence for supporting this thesis
• Three reasons supporting my thesis would be that one, that physicians have been through a lot more years of school than a nurse practitioner, second it would be cost effective to have a physician treat patients rather than anyone else and third the patients would feel more comfortable having a physician treat them rather than a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner. The reason behind this would be because you would want a doctor to be in charge of the patient not anyone else.
• My strongest point would be that physicians have been through many more years of schooling making more knowledgeable than someone else.
• My weakest point would be that a patient would rather be seen by a physician than a nurse practitioner, there are people out there who don’t …show more content…
• The strongest reason would be that it would speed up the time a patient is in the doctor’s office, I mean if you have more than one person doing your job it would be a lot faster.
• The weakest reason would be that the nurse practitioner knows the same amount of information as the doctor. How do we know they know just as much? That would be something that you couldn’t really argue.
• To rebut these reasons I could use the same information that was presented earlier in my argument.
My Readers
• Most people would benefit from this action because they would have a physician who was capable of doing their job, plus it would be someone who would be able to help diagnosis them rather than a physician assistant who doesn’t have as much background knowledge.
• Yes, families would benefit from this, because they would have a knowledgeable physician treating
