2. In the story "A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings" what literary device is recognized as used? Describe the author technique. B3, C2
The literary device a magical used to create the character with enormous wings, an angel. The author did not base it on grace and perfection, but rather he make the angel more like a human. He does not make the angle angelic like as we have read in other story, but rather covers him with dirt and mud, however he is still of flesh and blood. Furthermore, every single detail of the angle is described in the story with vivid description.
The author is very detailing in his technique to vividly describe the angle. “His huge buzzard wings, dirty and half-plucked were forever entangle in the mud “(Marquez 1). This brings out the imagery of action and description in the character of the angle to an unnatural life. This is what helps the author to utilize his technique to bringing life in a mythical character. Making the story seem creditable.
