Get into the habit of reciting positive affirmations on a daily basis. Say affirmations like "I am wealthy, prosperous and happy" and "my debt is paid in full". Until certain affirmations get committed to memory, just read them and recite them out loud. The more you repeat these words, the more you'll believe them.
3. Listen to motivational messages.
There's a reason why so many people love Tony Robbins, Les Brown and Eric Thomas. They've all been extremely relentless in their goal to motivate the masses. Their powerful messages are encouraging, inspiring and uplifting. Just like a cold shower wakes a person up in the morning, motivational messages have the power to shake up the mind and get it into the right gear to push through any situation.
4. Celebrate your successes.
If you look at the debt as a whole, it's easy to get discouraged and decide not to try. Instead, make small goals and celebrate the successes along the way. For example, if you have a hospital debt of $80 and you diligently pay it off, celebrate with manicure or a new book.
