The Cat At The Wall

I read the book “The Cat At The Wall” by Deborah Ellis. It is about a girl named Claire that can kind of be a jerk sometimes. She leaving school on the last day and got hit by a car. When she woke up she was a cat at Israel. She was all alone and had to fight for and search for food about everyday until she ran into a little house that had two soldiers in it. There names where Aaron and Simcha. She had to run for shelter not like she had to when she was a normal girl that lived a normal life. One day there was a school project that was in a corner that she went to and looked to see if there was any food in or around. It was a good project to that would have probably have an A+ if the cat didn’t go up and scratch all around

Molly Bang Paper When thinking of this assignment, I immediately knew which book I was going to choose. I felt that choosing a favorite book from my childhood could be a fun way to see the differences in how I viewed it then, and how I might view it today. As a child, I was in love with Mercer Mayer’s “Little Critter” books (and still am today). I decided not to go searching for an easy or popular book, rather I wanted to take one I know and love and see if/how Molly Bang’s principles were applied.…

The book that I did my project on is “Cirque Du Freak”, by Darren Shan and the book tells a story about a boy named Darren and how he came across the circus that changed his life. For the book project, I made the flyer that was used in the story to influence Darren and his friends into deciding to go to the circus. This flyer has a lot of importance in this story because this flyer is what convinced Darren to go to the circus and see the performance. One day, Darren’s friend named Alan came across the flyer that he had stolen from his brother to show the group the circus act that was coming to town. The circus act was called, “The Cirque Du Freak”, and they were going to perform one night only in an abandoned building across town.…
