Deb Caletti wrote The Fortunes of Indigo Skye. Caletti told about 18 year old Indigo Skye’s battle with change. The book began telling about Indigo's normal life. Her life was quite normal for living with a single mom, her sister, Bex, and her brother, Severin. She worked at a waitressing job, which she loved. With her job and family, she barely had time with her boyfriend, Trevor. Life was quite normal with all the regulars coming in the restaurant, until one very mysterious guy came in.

Indigo found a phone number, which she called the mystery guy he said the check was valid, and when she asked why she got it, he simply replied by stating “Because you ask why me instead of why not me.” Indigo went home right away.
Her mom said save it, Indigo did but not before she went crazy with it. Indigo started buying thing left and right, until she realized what the paper with the phone number meant by ‘Don't lose yourself’ Indigo did lose herself, and she then thought about her family. She then tried to make things right. She bought stuff for everyone in her family and Trevor. What ever money was left over was then donated. Indigo gave advice, but when she was GIVEN advice she didn’t follow it, and that almost costed her a lot more than her 2.5 million could have bought her.
The Fortunes of Indigo Skye was an amazing book. It has all the aspect of a good teenage girl book, romance, drama, finding AND losing yourself, and just a bit of mystery. I would recommend this book to EVERYONE because of the great aspects of it. The only bad part would be the language, It curses A LOT! Deb Caletti wrote an amazing book with a fun
