Death Valley National Park is one of my favorite places I have been in my life! Death Valley is located almost in between the states California and Nevada. Death Valley was declared in 1933 but it was established on October 31st 1994. It covers about 3.4 million acres of land! You have to visit this majestic wonder of the world. What makes Death Valley such a national treasure is its scorching hot temperatures. It is a very hot and dry place to visit but I can tell you that it's worth it. There is a big sign as you enter the park that says “Death Valley is the largest national park in the lower 48 states!” On my first day here it got up to 103 degrees fahrenheit. A couple of miles away from the park there is a old mine shaft that has now been turned into a tourist attraction. Visiting the mine was honestly one of my favorite parts about Death Valley. The name of the mine is “Keanu Wonder Mine.” The overseer of the mine said that the mine was named after Ralph Keanu who died one day after he mined over 3 pounds of gold in the mine. The mine was named after him because he was the only miner in the history of that mineshaft that mined over 3 pounds of gold. One odd thing that I noticed about Death Valley is that for it to be such a hot habitat it has a lot of animals! The park is full of animals but the most common one is the grey

Waipio Valley has many wild horses down there; there are many different breeds. The palominos are the hardest horses to ride. Unfortunately, the East Bay began to document villages starting only 5,000 years from today, therefore no one actually knows how many village sites stood on the park’s grounds. The park became open to the public in 1967 because it became more obvious to the public that certain regions such as Coyote Hills had to be preserved in order to be able to embrace its nature in its natural state.
