Day 1

Today, my family and I went to Death Valley National Park. My dad had some vacation days from work so we used them to come. My sister wouldn’t stop asking “Are we there yet?” all the way here in our car. As soon as we got here we checked into a hotel to make sure we had somewhere to sleep. Tonight we went to the park to go look at all of the stars after dinner. I saw different constellations like the Big Dipper and Orion's belt. We came back to the hotel and I started doing my project on national parks that we had to do for Mrs. Wood, my english teacher.

It also said Death Valley was named gold diggers in the mid 1800s. It surprised me they named it that even though only one of their men died. When we got back to our hotel we took showers, changed clothes, and went out to eat at a fancy restaurant called Mcdonalds. Now that I think about it I guess we have a pretty interesting
