The death penalty should stay as a form of punishment. This penalty is still one of the most effective punishment methods that can be used today. It has many uses for punishing those who commit a crime and from preventing those from committing a crime. It will make the world that much better.

First of all, it will help keep people in check both in and out of prison. The death penalty will help keep people in line, so that they will stop themselves from committing a crime. Hopefully it is because they value their own human life and as a result be in fear of being put on death row. This will also help inmates behave while in prison as well. They know that if they do not behave, even if they are already in prison, there is still a chance for them to be put on death row. There is no doubt that if a family or friend knew that the person, that killed their loved one, is just sitting in a room out there having the possibility to escape or be set freee, you would have a feeling of unease. Blantly, killing the criminal will provide closure for anyone emotionally involved in the case, knowing that the criminal was properly punished and that they can rest easily knowing that the person can never cause harm again.
