Do you believe in other citizens having control of your life? How would you feel if a group of citizens or one had the authority to determine your existence on Earth? The death penalty is an justification put in place by the government as a consequence to crimes of overload. The idea is that a group of citizens or one listens to the crime a defendant has committed and determines whether the defendant should be allowed to continue living in society or be dismissed through death. The thought of a human being or more making an judgement on another humanś existence is concerning. Yet society allows this form of discipline to go on. The death penalty is a punishment put in place for criminals who commit crimes beyond reason. This tradition dates back to before the medieval times. The question that has been branded in conscience for years is does this form of punishment seem just? Therefore the death penalty should be made illegal because of the structure and theory that it is composed of. This is necessary because no human being deserves to die because of a crime they committed. Life is a gift that is fragile. In addition, what happens when a truly innocent defendant is found guilty and put to death were branded as committed? It is not morally right to take another life. No matter how you put it there is no justification for it. Life is a gift that is fragile. It can be taken away, but not given back. The judgement of taking it away should not be in the hands of any human. It is inhuman because we all make mistakes, but no mistake should cost a citizen their life. The death penalty has not deterred the crime rate. It is of no use to the U.S. No matter how it is put, it is wrong and will never be
