What are the characteristics of God in these passages? Exodus 20:1-21 Tells how god is a jealous God no one should worship other gods or images or status in his place. It tells you not to use God’s name in vain. God wants his children to follow the Ten Commandments. Matthew 22: 37-40: Tells how God wants you to love him with all your heart.
