Death Of A Friend Monologue Analysis

A Eulogy about Lauren Thank you all for coming to celebrate the death of a girl who lost her life, and share our grief at her passing. She has always been the friend that sticks around and is always there for you. One day when we both were in 7th grade she asked me if I wanted to go to Mall of America, and of course I said yes. She once told me that her family goes every year during spring break and it so happened to be the year her and I became friends. I knew then and there she would be the coolest and nicest friend I would have. Ever since the trip we have grown closer to each other. Lauren Anderson Gapinski was my devoted friend, but most importantly she was more like my sister. We had many experiences during the 3 years of our friendship. We fought, we laughed, we cried, and we laughed again. I could go on for hours about Lauren, but I think we all know how good of a person she was. Lauren was the most caring, friendliest, and funniest. She would always try to brighten up everyone’s day. …show more content…
And she left an empty space in my heart that nobody could fill. December 2nd was the saddest day I’ve had in my life until now. That day I got a call saying my best friend has died and it broke my heart. It will be memory I will never be able to erase from my mind nor my heart. I would give anything to turn back time and to tell her that without her by my side my life would not be complete, and that she is very important to me. The saying “time heals all wounds”, but I can tell that is not true. To this day I can still feel a pain in my heart that I felt when I heard she passed away. I know she is still close to me. There isn’t any more distance between us, or nothing is in the way of us not hanging out together. I would still like to thank Lauren for all of those years of friendship that you gave me. Thank you for also doing things for me. I want you to know that you will always have a place in my heart and I will always remember

I miss you and the others at home awfully, but the tedious past two years of battle have been in our favor, so at least my absence has been of some aid to the Confederacy. Life back at the plantation seems like a dream when you live as a soldier. Working on the vile-smelling fields with our slaves for hours upon hours will always appeal more to me than the copious hours of marching and drilling the generals put us through; the aching of my feet after every practice burns more than my throbbing fingers ever did. All of the pain endured because of my service cannot compare to the agony of being away from home so long. Calling what I feel “homesickness” would be a complete understatement.…

However, no one impeded the murder or had the sagacity to caution the victim. The crime took place by hand of the major characters in the novel. Although these characters experienced the crime firsthand, the minor characters in the novel were also directly involved.…
