Its such a hard thing to say, whether or not you fear death. My grandpa didn’t, when he passed, he knew his time was near, and he was okay with it. I honestly think that the older you get, the less you fear death, because you know that when you get old, that you're going to die. It’s kind of how the world works, people aren’t suppose to die when they’re young, it’s not how the world is suppose to go, it's not what people want to think. Everyone lives in a world where the old go, and the young stay, but unfortunately that’s not how it goes.
The fear of death can be portrayed in so many different ways to make people fear it, that people really do start to fear because of the endless possibilities that death can happen. With it being the second largest phobia in the United States, people really think about it on a day to day basis. “The Pardoner’s Tale” and “The Masque of the Red Death” deal with death in two ways, greed and sickness. Just two of the many ways death can catch you.
