The song I chose was Dear Mama from Tupac. The song was released on 1995 February 21. This song is so good that yet alone has won Best Rap Solo Performance Award. This song has touched many people because of the meaning it had and what the guy, Tupac, had to go through. This song has opened many people's eyes and taught them to appreciate the things our mothers do for us. His record is considered to be the best. And that’s the reason why I chose it.

The story talks about how a fourth grader who started to fail school and never enjoyed reading. He only enjoyed reading one book but that's it. Later in the story, he force himself to start like enjoying reading which became a benefit because that increased his grades. This kinda links to my claim because if you read it can become helpful to your grades. That's the reason why I picked this story.
My second reason on why reading is important is because of Greg Sarris. He’s the Author of “My Back Pages”. I chose this story because I can also relate to this. It talks about the narrator being forced to read in order to become wealthy. Later on the teacher takes his time and explains how to enjoy reading. This happened to me around fourth grade.
