ROUGH DRAFT 1

The song i picked was Dear Mama from Tupac. I choose this song because this reminds me when my mom tries everything to support me but i decline everything by being dumb. This all happened during Fourth grade. I ditch my club, I’ve never tried anything. And that's probably the reason why i picked the song.

This song can help me read because i focus more when serious during. The song talk abouts how he does bads stuff and later on he tries anything to support his mom. This relates to my life because I used to do many bad things back in my old time. And throughout that time my mom kept supporting me. And now i try to help her in any other way. The song was made for his mom and was meant to appreciate her. And that's why i

The song isn’t Rock or anything bad, it’s more of a smoothing type of song. Other people have there own reasons why they enjoy reading or they are forced to read. For example on page 23, the kid was ‘’forced” to read because he wanted to be rich. The later on the teacher told him to relax and to calm down. Thats something similar with me and the song. Why i read is because it could be important to use in the future, i believe it'll help us in life or now.

Most of us read because we want to benefit our lives by becoming wealthy. In fact, that's the reason why i started to read when i was 9 years young. In this case this happen in page 11. In this story that's the reason why the student started to read. He wanted to be filthy rich. He stated the fact that he was forced to read. But throughout the story the teacher had time to talk to him and taught him how to enjoy it.

Secondly, I think that I believe that nearly many people struggle through out reading or anything like that at a certain point of there life like Kelvin. He struggled at reading when he was in fourth grade. Then later on he said that it made him uncomfortable and that he only like one book. Then he became better and started to enjoy it. This can help him or anyone in the situation by practicing on something and becoming better at

The songs and artists that I will be comparing today through Ethos, Pathos, and Logos are Merle Haggard in “Mama Tried”, and Tupac Shakur in “Dear Mama”. Merle Haggard was a very important figure in the country music genre in the late sixties, up until the mid-eighties. Haggard Was an ex-con whose best friend was executed when they were in prison which impacted him greatly and caused him to change his way of life. While Haggard was in prison he learned how to impersonate other famous country music singers, such as Johnny Cash who played a show at the prison Haggard was in. In Prison Haggard began his career, he played in the prison country band and played by himself.…

The book I read was Armada by Earnest Cline, and I created a list of songs that could compliment the books aspects. The songs I chose were “Walking On the Moon” for the setting, “Holding Out for a Hero” for the main character, “It’s the End of the World” for the conflict, “What’s Really Happening” for the Climax, “One Vision” for the resolution, “Beds are Burning” for the symbolism, and “Imagine” for the theme. I chose the song “Walking on the Moon” by The Police to represent the setting of my book because the main character, Zach, actually does walk on the moon. The setting of the story is not just the moon though. It takes place in the year 2018 in Beaverton, Oregon for the beginning of the story.…

As a child, and even now, my mom is in charge of the music. She would mainly play music she grew up with as a teen or music her brother introduced her to which varies from the 50s to the 90s. When I was thirteen years old my parents were going through a divorce, and my mom was driving and a song came on the radio. This song was “No Rain” by Blind Melon, and usually, when I heard it, it was just a calming, catchy song. But when I heard this song on this occasion, I heard it with a different perspective.…

“The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot” by Brand New, relates to me personally because of a friendship I came across in high school. When I listen to this song, it brings me back to my teenage years, when I was a young girl longing for a relationship with my dream guy. This band was introduced to me by an English teacher from highschool whom I had the biggest crush on. I connect with this song because it reminds me of the relationship I had with this teacher. He stole my heart at first sight, introduced me to beautiful music, and showed me a band that forever changed my life.…

Like their other songs, Not Today and Fire, they have choreography and performed live for thousands of people. I enjoy most of their music and the work behind them.…

The song I chose is “Surfin’ U.S.A.”, is characterized by the Beach Boys. I chose this song because of how laid back the tune sounds and makes me want to relax. It’s relaxing because the song reminds me of the beach and the sounds of the waves. In the song it talks about how they will be gone for the summer and to tell the teacher they have gone surfing. It does however use several words that mean sadness, for example “I lost a friend” is implying that they have lost a friend but in reality, the friend has become lost within his addiction or problem. One of the most repeated lines within the whole song “And I would have stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life” is the most symbolic. This is because most people would imagine that the artist would stay up all night to save the teen, but rather if the artist knew what to do to help the teen he would stay up for as long as possible to save him. Although this is a very sad song due to the tone of the song, I found it also motivating. This is because of the tone the song was set at.…
